Percussionist Mark Shelton is scheduled to perform as a guest artist at PICFEST (Pacific International Choral Festival).  Taking place in Eugene, Oregon, PICCFEST is an annnual choir gathering produced in cooperation with the Oregon Bach Festival.  In addition to playing percussion with the choir under the direction of Dr. Susan Brumfield, Mark will also perform a short solo set at the event and present a lecture/demonstration. The Florida Music Education Association has selected Mark Shelton to present his clinic Teaching Improvisation with the Drum Circle at the upcoming FMEA Professional Development Conference.  The convention is held in Tampa, Florida and attracts more than 10,000 people including music teachers and administrators, along with K-12 participants and parents.  The FMEA conference is one of the largest professional development events for music in the United States. Mark's presentation will be hands-on as participants engage in interactive drumming activites designed to spark musical creativity.  Mark's clinic is sponsored by REMO.
